Day 2 : "TRI-BEAMS"

This was a bit tricky. We rigged up and some ropes and Bec provided some muscle and we hoisted them up. I waited to mark the bottom hole so we could make sure the beams are level. Also, there is only about 1/4" fudge factor to get them into the TAB posts.

Day 1 of construction "TABs"

The Treehouse Attachment Bolts , or TABs, showed up the mail.  Now we have to figure out how to get them in the tree at the right height, angle, etc..

I marked out some spots after staring at the tree for a while. Then used a water level to make sure the bolt on the opposite side would be at the correct and level height.

This was a lot of work, thankfully I had some help from our neighbor John and the kids.

Next step-  "Tri-Beams"!

Getting started

I always wanted a treehouse growing up. Now we have a perfect tree in the yard to put one in .... for the kids. So, we are going to go for it and get started.
After a lot of online research, I settled on using special treehouse attachment bolts. I designed a 3d mockup and ordered the bolts.

Here is a pic of the mock-up. It will have balconies and at some point inthe future (perhaps) a rope bridge connecting to a look out deck in another tree.

Wish us luck...
