We got a little more of the railing down this month so now it's safer up in the balcony. 

Spring 2014

It's still pretty cold here in Fargo, but we spent some time out in the treehouse. Becky got some camp lanterns to hang out there and some outdoor cushions to cozy things up a bit. 

Day 20+. Paint and trim

We managed to get another free day out of the lift.  We got all the trim pieces up and most of the painting done. 

Days 17+: now we are getting serious

We had to rent a scissor lift to safely get the roof and higher walls done. Crazy, but it works well and is probable worth it just for the added safety...

We figured we had to really push hard on the project while we had the rental lift. 

Our awesome neighbor John came over and helped out tremendously. He's a very handy guy and things moved quickly with his help.

Jules and her friend Emma brought a disco karaoke machine up there.

Checked my hacked up right hand on the drill...

Next step- painting and trim. Getting closer to being done. Can't wait. At this point the kids are tired of me spending so much time on it...

Days 15-16- ish

Lots of work getting done now. Bec and I worked in the walls today. Also we put some paint on the beams. It's leftover paint from our house. We had a half gallon or so of " pella brown". Looks pretty good I think and it helps the beams blend in better.
